Shared Accommodations for people 50 plus

This page will describe the available options for shared accommodations, which are intended for people 50 and above. *

It will be used for sharing rooms and living spaces, either for communal everyday living or vacation travel, in small groups.

The available facilities will be both permanent locations (everyday living) and temporary locations (travel).

Examples of shared accommodations include:

1. People living together in a house or apartment
  • Each person has their own room, while they share the kitchen, dining and living areas.
  • Some of the residents might also maintain their own homes elsewhere.
  • This facility would be available for people who want to live together in a small community.
  • It's intended to provide them with a safe alternative to living alone.
  • Activities could be organised for the group, if desired.

2. People travelling together to a fixed location
  • A home or apartment would be provided, where small groups can spend time together away from home.
  • For example, a permanent location could be in Prince Edward County, which is a popular vacation destination in Ontario.

3. People travelling together to varied locations
  • Alternatively, facilities could be reserved in more exotic locations, such as Europe or the Caribbean
  • In either case, people who know each other could stay together
  • Those who aren't part of a group could be matched with compatible fellow travellers.
  • Activities could be organised for the group, without the pressure of a guided tour.

* A link will be provided to a future affiliated web site that's intended to manage these shared accommodations.
